Kindness community in the news

I pledge to make my world a reflection of a more civil and connected place through intentional acts of kindness. My actions and impact will then make the world beyond my immediate influence better, too, because kindness expands as it is demonstrated. 

I will listen with empathy and understanding, seeking first to understand, and then to be understood, and valuing others' feelings and perspectives.  

I commit to proactively offering my help whenever I can, whether through small gestures or significant efforts. 

I will choose words that uplift, encourage, and respect everyone around me, in person or online. Conversely, if I have nothing constructive to contribute through my words, I will refrain from using them. 

I will express appreciation daily, acknowledging the kindness others show me. 

I will forgive mistakes easily and strive to give the benefit to others that they are doing the best they can the vast majority of the time
