Jacqueline is experienced in creating and implementing action-oriented steps to advocate for kindness to elected officials. Kindness Community was adopted by the City of North Port, Florida; Sarasota and Manatee County Boards of Commissioners; Sarasota County Schools; and the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce. 


Effective plans involve strategic steps aimed at engaging community leaders and policymakers effectively. 

**Set Clear Objectives:**

- Define specific kindness initiatives (e.g., anti-bullying programs, community support services).

- Identify desired policy changes or introductions.

**Research and Gather Data:**

- Collect data on the benefits of kindness, including social, economic, and health impacts.

- Prepare case studies or evidence from places where kindness initiatives have succeeded.

**Build a Coalition:**

- Form alliances with local organizations, schools, and businesses.

- Engage community members and leaders who are passionate about kindness.

**Develop a Compelling Proposal:**

- Draft a detailed proposal outlining the need, benefits, and structure of the kindness initiative.

- Include testimonials from community members and subject matter experts.

**Engage with Local Media:**

- Write op-eds or letters to the editor advocating for kindness initiatives.

- Utilize social media platforms to raise awareness and build a supportive community.

**Host Community Events:**

- Organize kindness-related events like workshops, seminars, or volunteer days.

- Use these events to engage the public and attract media attention.

**Meet with Officials:**

- Schedule meetings with city council members, state legislators, and other officials.

- Present your proposal and provide concrete examples of potential positive outcomes.

**Create Petitions:**

- Launch petitions to demonstrate public support for kinder communities.

- Collect signatures both online and offline to show widespread backing.

**Educate and Inform:**

- Distribute informational materials on the benefits of kindness-focused policies.

- Offer workshops or webinars to educate the public and officials about your initiative.

**Follow Up:**

- Send thank-you notes and updates to officials and supporters.

- Maintain regular follow-up to keep the momentum and interest alive.

**Measure and Report Outcomes:**

- Monitor the impact of implemented policies or initiatives.

- Report positive outcomes to continue garnering support and making adjustments as needed.
